James Dowell, the Co-Founder of Prolyfyck Run Crew, emphasized the importance of having successful business owners and young entrepreneurs present to inspire the children. "Having that role model in your life, you know for these kids to see. You know business owners, young entrepreneurs," Dowell said, "Not only dedicating their time, but the resources and their professions to give back to them."

From school supplies and clothing to manicures and haircuts, the various organizations involved ensured that each child had the resources to look and feel confident. "It's very important to send a kid back to school confident, if they look good, they feel good," Dowell said, underscoring the profound impact that self-assurance can have on a student's academic and social success.

Fernando Garay Junior, the Co-Founder of the 100 Cuts Initiative, expressed his excitement at the opportunity to use his talents to give back to the community that has supported him. "That is a great representation for the kids to see in the community because we were the same kids coming up," Garay Jr. said. "So the representation that when we come together shows off that we are pouring back into the community, that poured into us."

Xavier Watson, a fellow student, offered words of encouragement to his peers, saying, "Don't be nervous to go to school. Like we're all going to school, even if you're new. Don't be nervous.
